WITH only one sleep left until the big night, Carols by Candlelight musicians are perfecting their performances.
Thousands are expected to attend the night of singing, dancing, festivities and one very special visit from Santa.
Launceston College choir member Zoe Merrington, 18, will be performing a solo on the night as well as singing in the school’s choir.
‘‘I’m really excited and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun,’’ Zoe said.
She will sing River by Sarah McLachlan as a solo and War Is Over with the choir.
This is Zoe’s first time singing at Carols and, as she plans to continue her music studies in the future, she said the performance was an important opportunity for some extra exposure.
With all profits from the 2014 Carols by Candlelight going to The Examiner Empty Stocking Appeal, Christmas is sure to be lot brighter for those doing it tough.
‘‘I’m really happy to help in any way,’’ Zoe said.
