Club president Kylie Johns said she hoped the day would encourage locals to join the club.
"It's just getting people to pick up a tennis racquet, come and try, join a club, get the kids involved," she said.
"We'll have tennis hot shots going on one of our courts for the children . . . on the other two courts we have come and try, so pick up a racquet and just have a hit.
"We'll have people from our tennis club . . . available for a chat for any questions or to have a hit with people."
Ms Johns said the club would run giveaways for children throughout the day, and there would be prizes for some activities.
New registrations could help the club win $5000 through a competition running on the Tennis Australia website.
"We're currently looking at doing up our clubhouse which is a little bit dated," Ms Johns said.
"We're looking at perhaps using some of that funding to do up the kitchen and install an oven in our clubhouse and just give it a bit of a facelift.
"We need some new nets as well."
The come and try event will be held on Saturday. For details contact Kylie Johns on 0400 780 189.
