Police were called to the Burnie Lodge at Wivenhoe about 8pm, where they found a 19-year-old man acting aggressively, and ultimately injuring himself.
Police then made contact with a 46-year-old man who was bleeding from a wound on his throat, an injury that it is alleged was inflicted by the teen with an unknown item.
Both men were known to each other and were staying at the property.
They were taken to the Burnie North West Regional hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
