It covers footpaths, parks, recreation areas and lawns of many homes.
Look at the footpath in Lindsay Street, Launceston, or the footpath near the Village Green, Longford.
I noticed at the weekend that it was particularly bad on the grassy areas at Woolmers.
It is extremely invasive, and very soon it chokes the natural grass and all that is left is the weed.
It is very difficult to kill. You can pull up the whole plant when you only have a few.
The other treatment is to spray it and especially in the late autumn.
We all need to be aware of this weed and try and get rid of it before more drastic measures are needed.
