About 3.20am, a vehicle was driven through the front door of Auto Addiction on Wellington Street.
Ten minutes later, a ute reversed through the front door of Finney's Funeral Services on Nunamina Avenue at Kings Meadows, and two offenders entered the building.
At Auto Addiction, an alarm was activated and police and security were on-site within a few minutes.
Cash was stolen from both sites.
Launceston CIB are investigating the incidents and are calling for anyone with information to contact 6777 3910 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
