The club will hold a range of tennis-based activities across four courts, all to a background of live music.

Club secretary Roger Francis said the day was for all ages and skill levels.

"Even if you just want to come along and listen to the music, that's fine with us," Mr Francis said.

"[There will be] a whole stack of things like barbecues; we've got a million giveaways.

"We've got information about the club, and we're offering cut-price membership on the day as well.

"We've got the balls, we've got the racquets, we've got everything here. It's meant to be a lot of fun and just an introduction to tennis really."

Both bands - Bullethouse and Element - are from Newstead College, and will play throughout the event.

The event has been organised as part of a Tennis Australia Ultimate Club challenge to increase the participation rate in tennis nationwide.

The winner of the challenge in each state will win $5000, which, if won, would go towards re-covering one of the courts at Trevallyn.
