Returned councillors Barry Jarvis, Steve Arnold and Sheryl Martin were joined by newly elected Leon Quilliam, Lawrence Archer, Max Hall, Shaun Moore, Greg Howard and Dale Jessup.
Councillors received and noted the council manager’s briefing reports and appointed new councillor representatives to 14 council and community committees.
General manager Tim Watson said that councillors also:
· Approved a planning application by the Scottsdale RSL Sub Branch to construct a building extension to the existing Scottsdale RSL building for a museum use, at 28-30 George Street, Scottsdale, subject to conditions. The building will house the club's Vietnam War-vintage Huey helicopter.
· Received and noted the financial report for the period ended September 30 and approved budget variations relating to the installation of solar panels on the municipal offices and Scottsdale depot as well as storm water infrastructure at Short Street, Branxholm.
· Authorised the mayor and general manager to sign a ‘Deed of Transfer – Musselroe Tourist Road’ on behalf of Dorset Council and approved the recommended forward funding strategy.
