Set within the windowed walls of the house's conservatorium, the cafe has been open for one month.
Coffee, cakes, salads and scones are now available and staff are working on creating a menu that will cater for different dietary requirements.
Clarendon House Cafe employee Katrina Barnes said she wanted to create a cafe where those on a gluten-free diet could feel comfortable.
"One area that we are still looking into is gluten free meals," Ms Barnes said.
"There's just so many people who have a condition now and it's very difficult for them to be able to eat somewhere without the chance of getting sick."
In the future the cafe will make up picnic hampers for visitors to take with them as they wander around the historic property.
"It's amazing scenery and the conservatory as a cafe is a fantastic idea.
"You look out every window and you have a fantastic view - who could not enjoy it."
Clarendon House Cafe is now open for lunch from Thursday to Sunday and is also available for private functions throughout the week.
