October brought with it a whole year’s worth of seasons.
On October 14 Launceston measured its lowest temperature of just 0.8 degrees
The long-term average for October minimums was 6.9 degrees.
This was followed eight days later by the highest temperature of the month – 24 degrees.
The total rainfall for the month was 47 millimetres with almost half of that falling in one day on October 7.
The average minimum temperature for October was 7.3 degrees, almost half a degree higher the average between 1980 and 2013.
The maximum temperature on average was 18.6 degrees, which is 0.7 degrees higher than over the past 30 years.
