The medium-sized forward from Glenorchy was recruited to the club with the 48th pick in last year's rookie draft.
The brother of St Kilda defender Jimmy, the 19-year-old had hamstring problems this year, but was still able to put in some solid performances in the VFL for Box Hill.
"[Webster's year] has been a bit interrupted in relation to injury, but he's played really well when he's been on the field," recruiting and list manager Graham Wright said of his fellow Tasmanian on Hawthorn's website.
Hawthorn also announced that rookies Ben Ross and Derick Wanganeen had been cut and Dallas Willsmore had been upgraded in finalising its list ahead of the delisted free agency period and national draft.
