His vision for Australia out rates the present politicians of all colours.
He introduced free degrees, mature aged study, mature aged apprenticeships, divorce without fault, Medicare, return of our soldiers from Vietnam, and with Jim Cairns his desire for Australian business to be bought back and owned by Australians.
If one remembers history, China only sold Britain Hong Kong on a 99 year lease, yet we are selling our land freehold. Gough would not have allowed this to happen.
Australia has lost a statesman, and we need to remember the good changes he instigated, and to try and follow his leadership when dealing with other countries.
There are many people of all political persuasions, that need to thank Gough Whitlam and his government for the changes he made to our society. Australia grew up thanks to Gough.
