Lions Tasmania is holding an information night in the suburb on November 18 to gauge community interest in forming a Legana Lions Club.
Lions Tasmania global membership team co-ordinator and Lilydale Lions Club member Amanda Olson said Lions Tasmania wanted to give the fast-growing communities the opportunity to give back.
"We wanted to give the people in the community the opportunity to give back to the people in the community, become a leader in their community and learn to become a leader," Miss Olson said.
"Because it's a growing area down there it's a good opportunity to network, make friends and meet other families."
The club will fill the gap between the Riverside Lions Club and the Lions Club of West Tamar.
Miss Olson said Lions was suited to people of all demographics - young families, retired and semi-retired individuals and full-time workers.
"It's for anyone with a community interest," she said.
The information night will be held at the Legana Community Hall on November 18 at 7pm.
