The historic home and gardens of Panshanger will open for visitors as part of Open Gardens Australia's 2014 events series.
Two personal tours will be offered by Open Gardens Australia and fourth-generation owner Maree Mills, starting at 9.40am and 1.40pm on Friday, November 7.
Guests will be taken through the property, where the gardens were originally established by Joseph Archer in 1821.
Mr Archer continued to expand on the Panshanger house as he accrued funds and land holdings, which were significantly developed in the 1840s.
According to the Panshanger website, the home is an outstanding colonial example of Greek revival architecture.
The grounds feature stable yards, a horse-operated pump house, water tower, the remains of a cider press and a wide variety of English trees.
Oaks, laurels, lindens, hawthorn, elms, maritime pines and a sprawling lawn are included in its acreage.
Tickets are $60 and include morning or afternoon tea. Bookings can be made at www.opengarden.org.au or by calling 5427 1488.
