Like the Labor Party, many members strive to bring issues they consider important forward as motions.
Many ideas are passed, but alas the politicians are not bound to take any notice of those ideas and motions.
Other than the social contact, and the access to the politicians, much of such conferences is little more than a farce.
Many members become disillusioned, and leave the party.
Surely it's time all political parties took notice and became bound by changes passed at these conferences.
Unfortunately I don't think I will see it in my lifetime.
