The Chieftains host Longford, one of the form sides of the competition who were unbeaten in the shorter format and appear to be even stronger than last season thanks to some impressive recruiting.
"They've picked up a few to strengthen their side but we will revel in the challenge this week and see how we step up against them," Moore said.
"Our fielding improved immensely last week but we didn't have enough runs on the board against Beauty Point."
Hadspen will be without in-form spinner Matt Green but Moore said left-arm orthodox spinner Casey Brown would step up into the No.1 spinner's role in his absence.
LONGFORD will be boosted by the return from suspension of key batsman Anthony Taylor and Hamish Jones should play his first game for the club.
While happy with their three T20 wins, Tigers president Phil Dodd was looking forward to getting into 40-over games for premiership points.
"This is the real stuff and what we are playing for," he said.
"Our batting has been pretty solid but we feel we can improve it further in the 40-over stuff and we feel we are going to be pretty strong in the bowling area too.
"Hadspen lost their three T20 games and I reckon Scotty Semmens won't be too happy about that and will be keen to get a win on the board too."
UNI-MOWBRAY hosts Trevallyn with the home side coming off two morale-boosting T20 wins last week.
"It gave us a bit of confidence with what has been going on around us and some of the guys stepped up and showed their worth even though we are a bit depleted," Uni's Shane Evans said.
"Trevallyn is a tough ask and they are a good unit but we are looking forward to a good game of cricket."
TREVALLYN will be without captain-coach Damian Whybrow and Mitch Edwards but stand-in skipper Nathan Balym said they had two handy replacements with Matty Cocker returning to the batting line-up and Jai Balym into the attack.
Balym said they needed to bat for the full 40 overs and put a good total on the board but would be wary of a Uni side coming off two good wins.
DIGGERS will be boosted by having strike bowler Mark Sowden available for his first game of the season as it takes on Beauty Point at Hagley.
Coach Craig Wegman said his side did not bowl or field well enough last week and needed to lift in those areas.
"We just bowled too short, didn't bowl to our field and dropped catches," he said.
Zach Roden should also return for his first game.
BEAUTY POINT captain Rob Eltringham was happy with his team's form last week claiming two T20 wins and expected they will improve further with the start of 40-over games.
"It suits us a little bit better and we're looking forward to getting into it," he said.
He praised the efforts of Beau Hills and Tyler Bain in making runs last week and Adam Turner's effort with the ball.
Brennan Cresswell should return this week.
PERTH hosts Legana and coach Dean Hawkins welcomed their first 40-over match at home and expected to field a full-strength side.
"We've got the side to be competitive so we will see how we go," he said.
"The bigger ground will suit us and we've got a new wicket and new clubrooms and facilities and expect a big day.
"Our captain Matt Lawrence is looking forward to getting off the mark this week with a win."
LEGANA didn't have a great weekend with two T20 losses last week but captain-coach Matty Wells said they were focused on the 40-over format now and looking for all-round improvement.
Bo-Jay Hinds misses with Dylan Sharman his replacement.
