If one of the candidates for each of the positions is successful, why does he also have to be successfully elected as an alderman when he obviously is a member of council by being elected mayor or deputy mayor?
No wonder people are confused and the return on council elections so small.
If none of the mayoral and deputy candidates are successful in doing this do we have a council with no mayor or deputy?
