That might have been a little difficult to believe before the folktronica band sampled the controversial pop songstress, but Green said she was a delight to work with.
The song, Hunger of the Pine, comes from the band's second and latest album This Is All Yours.
"She's funny, she's all the energy, she's very on it, very clever," Green said.
"I have a lot of respect for her and I'd love to work with her again in some way."
Although Cyrus won't be accompanying the three-piece to Marion Bay's Falls Festival, fans can still look forward to a solid set.
Green promised an impressive visual aspect to the three-piece's performance.
"You try and set the mood for each track," he said.
"We have a really amazing lighting visual engineer called Jeremy from New York - he's, like, 24 and he designs some really amazing stuff.
"The lights always get an amazing response."
Green said the band's music seemed to suit Australia, citing the atmosphere, venues and party spirit as great companions to the songs.
He said the album hitting number two on the charts instilled confidence in the band and its future.
"We've always had a really good response when we've come down to Australia. . . it seems incredible," he said.
"We feel really at home and it gives us a lot of energy."
And that's not to mention the weather.
Though Tasmania's temperature might not hit the heights our mainland friends enjoy, Green said he was sure it would beat the UK in December.
"I'd usually be at home feeling cold and it's not a nice cold."
Still, the band might have a bit of research to do before coming to our blessed island state.
"I know that there's a cartoon called the Tasmanian devil," Green said.
