The inaugural Effervescence Tasmania event is a platform for consumers and traders to taste some of Tasmania’s best sparkling wines and seafood.
The event will be held as a showcase to further Tasmania’s push to become the epicentre of modern sparkling products.
A panel of sparkling winemakers, including Apogee’s Andrew Pirie, House of Arras’s Ed Carr, Jansz’s Natalie Fryar and Clover Hill’s Loic Le Calvez, will provide an in-depth discussion on the industry and its creations.
The sparkling master classes will be moderated by current Australian wine communicator of the year, Tyson Stelzer, of Wine Communicators of Australia.
‘‘It’s a great privilege to be involved with the inaugural Effervescence Tasmania,’’ Mr Stelzer said.
Josef Chromy Wines chief winemaker Jeremy Dineen said the event was creating a buzz within the business.
‘‘This is one of the most exciting wine events to take place in Tasmania and provides an unparalleled opportunity to taste some of the world’s greatest sparkling wines,’’ Mr Dineen said.
A grand degustation dinner will be held on Friday, October 31, and main tastings will be held on Saturday, November 1.
