The awards recognise and highlight the work of individuals and organisations that promote and enhance wellbeing within Tasmanian rural communities.
The rural and regional financial counselling organisation was established in 1986 and chairman Geoff Fader said that its counsellors were often the people farmers and rural business owners reached out to "in times of often extreme personal stress".
"To have the work of the team acknowledged is testament to the important role that the federally funded Rural Financial Counselling Service, of which we are a part, plays in supporting rural communities in Tasmania and nationally."
