The club last week signed former North Launceston players Sam Carins and Damien Medwin, and also Rhys Morrison, from Smithton.
Carins previously represented Tasmania and Queensland, and will join his brother Chris at the Magpies.
Medwin played most of his football as a key forward at Smithton before joining North Launceston.
Carins will be assistant coach at the club and be responsible for supervising training for the Magpies’ Launceston-based players.
Scottsdale president Murray Lade said that securing the trio was a boost for the club.
``We are determined to get off the bottom of the ladder, and these three players will be an important part of that plan,'' Lade said.
``We have some promising young players from our under-19 premiership team, but they need some help at the top end.
``The North-East has provided plenty of players to the TSL in recent years, and it’s good to recruit some with that sort of experience.
``But our recruiting isn’t over yet, and we hope to have a few more on our books in the next month.''
