Mr Hodgman congratulated them on the great work they do in supporting the tourism industry.
Michael Ferguson, Peter Gutwein, Dorset Mayor Barry Jarvis, Deputy Mayor John Beswick, Councillors Sheryl Martin, Peter Partridge, Jeff Jennings, Russell Brown, NETT chair woman Bronwyn Bishop and deputy chairman Tony Scott, NE Chamber of Commerce Chair Michael Courtney, Tania Rattray MLC, Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania;s Karen Phillips, Dorset Council general manager, Tim Watson and community and economic development manager, Susie Bower also attended.
Rosemary Calder Scottsdale Visitor Information Centre volunteers formed a community group earlier this year and successfully submitted an expression of interest to take over operation of the Centre in July.
Their achievement of positioning in the tourism council's people’s choice top ten for the Northern region once again is testament to their commitment and dedication to providing quality service to visitors to North East Tasmania, she said.
