Mrs Walsh said that chairman and volunteer mower Ken Burr had kept the whole park mown to perfection.
‘‘The playground has been really popular with hosts of children enjoying the new equipment that was installed just in time for the school holidays,’’ a delighted Mrs Walsh said.
‘‘Our wonderful volunteers have now prepared the tourist information and sales carriage for opening and are ready for a new season of visitors, keen to see our beautiful carved trees.’’
Mrs Walsh said that the committee had decided to join in the Australia’s Garage Sale Trail with a car boot sale to be held in the park on Saturday, October 25, from 10am to 2pm.
‘‘If you have a yarn to tell or a yarn to sell, come along for a great social day out,’’ she said.
The committee will host a sausage sizzle and a trade table on the day and any donations to this would be greatly appreciated.
