It will be the second public performance for Woods, after being discovered at Launceston City Council busking auditions.
It's a big opportunity for the young magician, and could be his first step in becoming a local star.
If you ask Woods, he'll tell you that he's already there.
The young performer said he picked up an interest in magic after watching a magician perform card tricks on television almost three years ago.
"He did a card trick with a woman where she had to kiss the card she chose and had to give him a kiss to get her card back," Woods said, explaining his luck in performing the trick to a Launceston bartender, who kissed him on the cheek.
"I tried it with another lady but she walked away, she said she would be my assistant though."
He said his first performance was in the Launceston mall as part of a city festival, a result of being snatched up after his busking audition.
"I kind of didn't expect to do that two days later, or to be asked for Saturday," Woods said.
"I'm nervous, excited — everything."
His practice is all but non-stop and involves flicking cards and developing his sleight of hand from guides in books and internet videos.
"My friends all like it, some of them get annoyed though, because I hustle them," Woods laughed.
"I'll have a hat there on Saturday for donations during my performance, all proceeds will go to more magic tricks."
