ATTRACTING visitors from across the country, the Table Cape Tulip Farm was a central part of yesterday’s Bloomin’ Tulip festival at Wynyard.
Hundreds turned out to see the stunning views the farm had to offer – each row of tulips giving visitors something different to look at.
Karen Henders travelled down from Brisbane especially to see the festival.
‘‘I love tulips, they’re my favourite flowers,’’ Ms Henders said.
‘‘So far it’s beautiful.
‘‘I like the fact that you can actually walk around because you can get in and see the flowers.’’
Charlie and Janelle Howell, who moved to Tasmania two years ago, said they liked the variety on show.
‘‘We came from New South Wales where tulips are a pretty rare event,’’ Mr Howell said.
‘‘These are the best ones we’ve seen.’’
A keen gardener, Ms Howell said seeing the flowers mad her want to grow her own.
‘‘Tulips like the cold so it’s too hot to grow them in New South Wales where we used to live.’’
