Meander Valley Community Development officer Patrick Gambles said the event was a celebration of positive ageing and would run from October 13 to 19.
"This year has an intergenerational theme and seniors and their families are invited to participate in a wide range of activities right across the state," Mr Gambles said.
"The Meander Valley University of the Third Age has organised a community open day on Wednesday, October 15, at St Andrews Church Hall on the Westbury Village Green.
"This will run from 10.30am to 3pm with activities, entertainment and refreshments for all ages."
He said people could play croquet, watch performances by Our Lady of Mercy School choir and the Westbury Primary School band, and presentations by U3A including class groups on activities from poetry to Tai Chi.
He said service stalls including information on U3A programs and opportunities to view wood carvings by Ellen Nora Payne would be held at St Andrews Church.
"The Village Green setting will be majestic and the welcome will be warm — come along and find out what the U3A has to offer." Mr Gambles said.
