The Chillingham Voices from New South Wales will be lending their talents this Sunday as the choirs performs at the City Baptist Church.
Singing classics such as The Sound of Silence and It’s a Long Way to Tipperary, the choirs will perform both separately and together.
Choir member David Lord said this is the first time another group has joined the singers on stage.
‘‘It’s going to be a very good event,’’ Mr Lord said.
‘‘It’s a good group of fellas who all get on well together and enjoy entertaining,’’ he said.
Choir president John Osborne said he is looking forward to having the group join him on stage.
‘‘To double our number is quite a privilege.’’
Adding together both choirs there will be about 60 singers in the concert.
Mr Osborne said performing together has created valuable friendships within the choir.
‘‘It’s enjoyment of music, it’s friendship and we all get along together,’’ he said.
The Launceston Male Choir’s concert will begin at 2pm.
