Doolan compiled 75 from 98 balls against the minnows, who are in the state as part of their preparations for next year’s World Cup.
The Tigers won the 50-over contest by 186 runs, with the in-form Ed Cowan (100 from 106) and the dynamic Jordan Silk (62 from 39) also prominent.
Paceman Iain Wardlaw (3-31) was the pick of the bowlers for the Scots.
In reply, the visitors crashed to be all out for 117 after 35.4 overs, thanks to the work of quick Hamish Kingston (4-15 from seven overs) and spinner Clive Rose (4-26 from 8.4 overs).
Silk will take over the captaincy for the second of two games between the two sides tomorrow at Hobart’s Anzac Park.
Meanwhile, fellow Tiger Jackson Bird has signed a three-month deal with English county side Hampshire for next season.
Bird, who played the last of his three Tests during last year’s Ashes series in the UK, had to pull out of his deal with Northhamptonshire in March due to his back issues.
