YOUR vote is the only way that Launceston folk-rock act Paper Souls will get to achieve their dream of playing at this year's Falls Festival at Marion Bay.
Voting opens this morning at 8am for this year's Falls Festival Foster Band Initiative, with the Paper Souls the band The Examiner will promote for this year's event.
If successful, they will get the opportunity to play on the same bill as Alt-J, Vance Joy, Cold War Kids, John Butler Trio, Spiderbait and Royksopp & Robyn.
"At this point for Paper Souls, Falls is the ultimate for us," vocalist Sarah Triffitt said yesterday.
"It's mind blowing that we're being considered. I think we've got the right vibes to (play at Falls) and we can give the people what they want."
Paper Souls will come up against other media-sponsored acts from around Tasmania, with the top three vote-getters getting a paid slot at the festival.
To vote, visit www.fallsfestival.com from 8am today.
Other acts in contention include Ursine (fostered by The Advocate), Verticoli (fostered by The Mercury), Dark Matter Of Story Telling (fostered by Togatus), LEWES, (fostered by WARP) and Jed Appleton (fostered by Aphra).
Tickets for the festival are also available from www.fallsfestival.com.
Discounted tickets available from Mojo Music in Launceston.
Falls will be held from December 29 to January 1.
