Norfolk Plains Film Society secretary-treasurer Di McGrath said the society's Poster Exhibition would include a collection of memorable posters on loan from Rock'n'Rodz organiser Wendy O'Keefe.
Footage from old movies, Tasmanian cinema slides, a 1960s newsreel on bushfire preparation and projectors are also sure to intrigue visitors to the display.
"Wendy's father owned and ran a cinema at Deloraine for many years and these posters are one of his legacies," Mrs McGrath said.
"They are very colourful and bring back memories of the '60s and '70s."
She said the film society hoped the posters would be a drawcard for those who may remember the many old ads and shorts.
Mrs McGrath said there would be particular interest in the vintage Women's Weekly, Heinz and Fab ads on show during the Saturday and Sunday opening.
She said the exhibition was an ideal opportunity for people to find out more about the group and its activities.
