Playing in back-to-back grand finals, the classy onballer said the Storm had dug deep in the last two weeks and shown its resilience with two gutsy, confidence-restoring final's victories.

He said to claim the premiership cup against North Launceston, the Storm's work ethic would have to be top-notch.

"The last few times it's been poor against them," he said.

"We know we can beat them, but we can't allow our work rate to drop off in a big final - they're a really fit team so if we are not up to scratch work-rate wise they will be able to beat us comfortably."

Blackberry said the Storm's Foxtel Cup appearances this season had galvanised the group and helped new players gel with last year's premiership core from South Launceston.

"To come from where we had nothing to having a good bunch of guys who get along and want to play footy together is a credit to Hillsy and the group," he said.

"To beat West Perth was almost grand final like and an unreal feeling because no one expected us to win and it is going to be pretty similar on the weekend - I don't think many people will tip us, but we're backing ourselves to win."

The chance to win back-to-back flags will be a driving force for last year's premiership group, who want to share the experience with their Storm teammates.

"For that group of players it would be a massive achievement and I think Clarence is the only team to go back-to-back in the TSL in the past five years," Blackberry said.

"People talk about a premiership hangover, but we haven't got comfortable and we've worked hard in the preseason and during the year and it would mean a lot if we were able to do the double."

North Launceston captain Mitch Van Den Berg conceded that the Storm playing group had more experience, but said if the Bombers played as a team, as they had done all season with everyone playing their role, they could win.

"I don't think it matters as long as we don't get overawed," he said.

"Everyone is really excited and a lot of players haven't played in a senior grand final before but we can't wait to get out there."

Van Den Berg said the two club's had created a healthy rivalry with this their fifth meeting this season and knew each other's game plan well

"Being their first year in the competition we have really started a good rivalry and this will be another good game to add to it," he said.
