Lion Graeme Harris said that the club's food van was operating about three weekends out of four.
"Fortunately, we have two gems in Barry and Elaine Hill, who are the motivating force of the service and have increased the van's use from less than once a month to two or three times a month," Mr Harris said.
"We other members slot our times in to suit and the van would raise at least $4000 to $5000 a year for the club's projects, like the CCTV cameras for Bridport and the joint exercise equipment project with the Dorset Council.
"We've had the van about four years and it's the greatest asset that's ever been bestowed upon us.
"I hope our members continue to support Barry and Elaine ... or we'll wear them out and we'll lose them and they're too good to lose."
Mr Harris said that the van was a regular fixture at North-East off-road races and surf carnivals and had even catered at funerals.
He said that the Bridport club had "about 20 ageing members" and desperately needed an influx of younger members to keep it going.
