The Roos gave up a three-goal lead late in the final quarter to lose to North Launceston last week and coach Matthew Drury expects his side to rebound in today's game.
``It was disappointing and we put ourselves in a position where we should have won the game but North Lonnie fought back and won the game so we have the preliminary this week and just need to improve on last week's performance and get the win,'' he said.
``We made some mistakes toward the end of the game which we shouldn't have and we looked at those and I think the players will learn from those with a lot of them not having been in that situation before.
``If we have to take a positive out of the game it is that we played well for 80 per cent of the game and we just made some critical mistakes at the end we need to learn from.''
Western Storm beat Clarence comfortably in their only encounter this season in round 12 at Aurora Stadium but Drury said both teams had changed since then.
``We had a look at Storm when they played North Lonnie and have a pretty good idea of how they play and some key players we will try to close down,'' he said.
``They are pretty strong across the board so it is difficult to really nail one or two players - their midfield is strong with Jay Blackberry and Matty Hanson and Beau Thorp.
``Cody Thorp in the ruck was a big in for them last week and then their two talls down forward in Bart and Hillsy obviously provide their marking prowess in the forward line and around the ground.
``They are the guys we have to spend a bit of time on but Zane Brown killed us last time so we will have to put a bit of time into him.''
The Roos emerged injury-free from last week's second semi-final and Drury said that Jack Gleeson and Jaymes Baker would come into the selection mix this week.
``We will keep things pretty similar to last week as far as our game plan is concerned,'' he said.
``The Storm play a bit differently to North so we will need to be aware of that and change a couple of little things but overall we will be keeping the same principles as we did last week.''
