The rock outfit with North West roots, who are based in Melbourne, will be back in the state sharing their new single Insomnia.
"It's a bit different than our earlier stuff and it has been described as being a bit 'stomp rock'," guitarist Marcus Wynwood said. "There's some creepy undertones to it and the lyrics are a little bit along those creepy lines.
"The songs on the new EP (Butterflies, Diamonds & Lightning, which will be released on October 3) are all sort of psychologically based.
"This style just happened naturally. Our first EP was five tracks in five different directions, and once we released a couple of tracks of that, and the ones that were successful were the tracks that we wanted to be like.
"This is our direction now, but things could change for the next release, as we really just like to take things as they come and have a good time doing it."
The boys will play at Club 54 in Launceston on September 20 with a line-up that includes The Styles, The 88's, Hounds Of Hiroshima and Jimi Steele.
"It never loses the buzz when we come at home and we feel like we've got a home ground advantage," Wynwood said.
The group will also support New Zealand rockers Shihad in September, with a mutual producer helping get that off the ground, for a pop up gig across the ditch.
"Even though it is happening, it seems unreal," he said.
"This show will be right up there and as we're the only support we can get a bit more support out of it.
"As an up-and-coming band, the key is to get out there as much as you can and we always try to hit up every capital city three or four months, rotate where we go and make sure we re-visit these places.
"And we also get to meet a bunch of bands who are doing the same thing and we can all help each other."
Their music has also recently been played on Triple J, Rage and Channel [V], moments which Wynwood said were "dreams come true".
