And he's quietly confident that he has achieved that aim.
"I really wanted to improve my rapping tenfold, and a lot of people have seemed to notice that, which is good," 360, whose real name is Matthew Colwell said.
"People who know rap and hip-hop have told me that they feel I've upped my rap game, which is a relief to hear that.
"This album is a reflection of the last two-three years of my life and is a very in-depth look at my life, as everything I write is from personal experience.
"Whether it is something that I have gone through myself or something I have witnessed something go through it is very much from that personal experience.
"It has some really low and dark points, and overall it is a dark album, but when you listen to it overall there is some uplifting moments."
360 said Utopia ensured a "crazy" show, with it having a lot of visual elements that are "mind blowing". "It is a really engaging show that people get hooked on every word, it's not just a fact of people standing there dancing, they really feel like they are part of it.
"It will be absolutely mental, and even though it is a dark album, the show will be very, very fun with a fun vibe."
360 will visit Hobart's Uni Bar on Wednesday, September 10.
"Every time I have played Tassie, it has been mental and I've had so much fun down there, so I just had to come down again."
