But in terms of influence, sales and sass, the true international heavyweights at Marion Bay this year will be a trio of 40-ish rapping mums.
All-woman hip-hop group Salt n' Pepa will make their first ever Tasmanian appearance in December, nearly 30 years after first bursting onto the New York scene, and seven years after making a triumphant comeback.
Regularly dubbed the original queens of hip-hop, Cheryl 'Salt' James, Sandy 'Pepa' Denton, and Deidra 'DJ Spinderella' Roper had a string of hits in the 80s and 90s, including their break-out single Push It.
And while they might have sold 15 million albums and claimed four Grammy Awards, the trio agree that it's new festival experiences that keep them fresh.
"We love Australia - and Tasmania is a first for us - we're very excited,'' Ms Denton told The Examiner from her New Jersey home.
"Playing to new people, no matter where we are, is always fun and we love playing it up to the crowd.
"When we were told that Australia might be on the tour this time we were like, 'Hell yeah! Let's do it!'"
The Marion Bay Falls Festival runs from December 29 to 31.
