She is, as part of the council’s strategic planning, investigating people’s motivations for commuting for work, and what the possible barriers might be to relocation.
‘‘To find out what people think, a short survey has been prepared and will be available in hard copy from the council office or is downloadable from the council’s website www.dorset.tas.gov.au,’’ Ms Calder said.
‘‘The answers provided will be used for statistical purposes and may form part of the survey report, but will not be attributable to individuals so anonymity is assured.
‘‘Personal information provided by participants is confidential and you will not be contacted again unless you give permission.’’
Ms Calder said that information collected would be used by the council to identify and plan for future needs.
This was important for effective strategic planning for the sustainability and development of the community, she said.
Ms Calder can be contacted by email at rcalder@dorset.tas.gov.au or on 6352 6525 or 0438 522 231.
