THE Rattray family has again completed the Tasmanian harness racing premiership double.
Gareth Rattray was the leading driver for the 2013-14 season that ended on Sunday and his father Barrie the leading trainer.
It was Gareth’s nine premiership win in a row and Barrie’s 16th title since 1993.
Despite being sidelined for the past six weeks due to ill-health, Gareth drove 95 winners, the third highest tally of his career.
Ricky Duggan was runner-up with 78 wins and Gareth’s brother Todd finished third with 66 wins.
Barrie Rattray’s 71-win season was similar to the previous year when he topped the table with 73 wins.
Zeke Slater jumped two places to finish second with 45 wins and Juanita McKenzie made her first appearance in the top 10, finishing third with 31 wins.
Erin Hollaway, Natalee Emery and Kate Macleod tied for the leading female driver award while Dylan Ford was the leading junior driver ahead of Nick Brockman and Duncan Dornauf.
