While he may not be willing to "let the cat out of the bag" on the show's 2014 attractions, show society president Bill Williams said it was expected to cause a stir.
"The Longford Show has always prided itself on keeping itself affordable to families but at the same time not cutting corners when it comes to fun and entertainment," Mr Williams said.
"There is a real buzz around what we have lined up for this year, but as we are awaiting final confirmation on a couple of attractions, we are hesitant to let the cat out of the bag just yet."
He said the society's crew of dedicated volunteers were already working to bring the show to life on October 18.
"With spring upon us there is always the never-ending hours on the mowers in order to keep the showgrounds in top shape along with maintenance of facilities and organisation but it is a labour of love and when it all comes together on the day it is an achievement we are always proud of," Mr Williams said. "As always we rely heavily on local support from the likes of the Northern Midlands Council and local business and if anyone has a bit of free time to spare, regardless of age, I am sure we can find a job for them.
"Volunteers are the lifeblood of any organisation and we would appreciate anyone with a bit of free time putting their hand up to assist."
