After losing the final roster round and forfeiting top spot and related benefits, the Storm is champing at the bit for another crack at their cross-town rival as the business end of the season kicks off.
``There is a pretty good rivalry there and the game last weekend had a big crowd and a fair bit in it and was a really good contest overall,'' Storm coach Mitch Hills said.
``We were really disappointed that we didn't get the result and play the top footy we wanted to play so we're really keen to make sure that happens this week.
``We haven't been happy with the way we've been playing the last couple of weeks and our guys are really keen to bite them back and have a good win this week.''
Hills said Storm had reviewed last week's game closely and identified areas for improvement.
``I think Zane (Littlejohn) has probably worked out a pretty good game plan against us,'' he said.
``But having played them last week we were able to see what they did and how they want to play football and we've put a plan in place for this week that we think can work.''
Hills said some of the Storm's best players had been down in form and needed to lift if the side was to win finals.
``All clubs playing finals need their top-end players as a barometer for their side and if they are playing well they will probably win.
``Last week our top-end guys were nullified somewhat and we've put it on them that they need to lift their output for us to win the game.
``But at the end of the day finals games are not won by those top guys but with everyone contributing so we're looking for a more even contribution through the whole list.''
Hills expected to field a similar side to last week with Logan Barker pressing for inclusion after good form in the development league.
``I don't want to go into too much detail about how we intend to play but final's footy is a different kettle of fish,'' he said.
``We've had that big game experience already this year and we're certainly going to bring that experience and desire to win this game of footy this week.''
