The evening will feature a guest presentation from published author and bicycle historian Jim Fitzpatrick.
Mr Fitzpatrick said bicycles have been an unrecognised part of Australian history for more than a century.
``I was (originally) looking for a thesis topic and I was going to do various things on a bike and it lead me right into the culture of bikes among shearers and the West Australian gold fields and it went from there,'' he said.
TBUG president Malcolm Conway hoped the AGM would shed light on some unappreciated aspects of Australia's bike riding history.
``Jim has documented how important they (bikes) have been for our social development and our history,'' he said.
Mr Fitzpatrick will speak at 7.30pm.
