ABOUT 25 cyclists from Tasmania and the mainland today started their seven-day charity ride to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House.
Ride co-ordinator Amy O'Brien said that the ride was in its fourth years, but this was its first Tasmanian visit, during which cyclists rode to Exeter and back.
They fly to Tullamarine tomorrow morning for the first leg of the mainland jaunt, a ride to Geelong, before looping through Ballarat and to Ronald McDonald House in Melbourne's Parkville.
The riders hope to raise $500,000 from the ride.
