Green was one of 10 goalkickers for Brisbane as it ran over the top of its intrastate rivals Gold Coast by 54 points.
The small forward’s tackling pressure was important, laying seven tackles.
Green’s season tally now stands at 25 goals.
Glenorchy’s Ryan Harwood was also productive for the Lions gathering 24 touches, taking five marks and piling on five tackles.
For the Suns, Hobart’s Aaron Hall finished the match with a game high 10 tackles to go with one goal and 16 disposals.
Hall’s teammates Luke Russell (12 touches, two marks and 0.1) and Launceston’s Jesse Lonergan (11 handballs and four tackles) did not have their best games for season 2014.
In the top-of-the-table clash between Hawthorn and Sydney on Saturday night, Devonport’s Grant Birchall was influential for the Hawks claiming victory.
Birchall collected 24 disposals and took six marks running off half-back for the reigning premiers at the MCG.
Clarence’s Jack Riewoldt was shadowed by West Coast’s number one defender Eric McKenzie during Richmond’s fourth straight victory.
In slippery Perth conditions, Riewoldt received three free kicks and kicked 1.1 from his 10 kicks.
The full-forward also laid five tackles.
