LABOR Leader in the Senate, Penny Wong, has told a state conference of party faithful that the Coalition Government's budget is a ''vicious attack'' based on ''twisted priorities''.
Delivering a key note speech at the Country Club of Tasmania in Launceston this morning, Senator Wong said the party had a choice of mourning past election losses or rebuilding for future success.
Senator Wong told ALP members, unions and observers the federal budget was the equivalent of Tasmania being left off the map on the Commonwealth Games uniform.
The conference heard Tasmanians would be among the hardest hit by measures included in the budget.
