Tasmanian cycling ace Amy Cure will ride off for a Commonwealth bronze medal after finishing third overall after the qualification rides in the women's 3000 metre individual pursuit race in Glasgow tonight.

Cure rode the third fastest time of the night in 3 minutes, 31.543 seconds, beaten by just under a second by fellow team-mate Edmondson (3:30.728 seconds).
World champion Joanna Rowsell rode to a new Commonwealth record in 3 minutes 29.038 seconds to beat Edmondson's time. The pair will race for gold in a few hours' time.
Cure, 21, beat home 19-year-old Welsh rider Elinor Barker by almost five seconds. She will ride off against Scotland's Katie Archibald for bronze about 2am (Tastime) Saturday morning.
