TASMANIA has high hopes for the team of promising young swimmers it is sending to the Schools Sport Australia championships in Melbourne.

More than 50 are heading from the state with a contingent of 28 selected from the North.
Team manager Lee Curran believes the team should produce plenty of personal best performances at Melbourne Sport and Aquatic Centre from July 20-26.
``I really think it's a very strong team,'' she said.
``The quality this year might surpass last year's success and it would be really good to see more of the swimmers making finals.''
The team will train at the MSAC before the opening ceremony and first day of competition on Monday?ntsa?, 21st July 2014?nte.
They will also attend an educational excursion to the National Sports Museum at the Melbourne Cricket Ground followed by some down time in the city.
The final Saturday will feature relays and the closing ceremony.
Northern swimmers selected to compete are:
