The roles of Tasmania's Ombudsman and Health Complaints Commissioner, and Solicitor-General have been filled.
Attorney-General Vanessa Goodwin this afternoon announced that Michael O'Farrell SC will be the new Solictor-General, and Richard Connock will continue on permanently as the Ombudsman and Health Complaints Commissioner.
Mr Connock has been acting in the role since January, after Leon Atkinson-MacEwan resigned.
Mr O'Farrell has an extensive background in law, and was appointed a senior counsel in 2009.
He will start in the role on September 1.
