The past week has seen plants in the streets targeted by unknown vandals.
Damage included ripped-out grass and damage to a pear tree on Sunday night.
Magnolias were also destroyed in King Street along with more grass removed.
The council has confirmed the damage will cost close to $1000 and Scottsdale police believe the same group was responsible for both offences.
While much of the grass has since been replaced, Cr Jarvis said Scottsdale may need to consider the same approach as Bridport, following the installation of CCTV cameras in the coastal town earlier last week.
"As a council we haven't been asked to install CCTV, but if people think the need is there, we'll look at it seriously," he said.
"We haven't had anyone come forward with a request for the cameras yet, but I'm sure once the news gets around (about vandalism) people will voice their opinions.
"At the moment, we haven't had any approach from residents of Scottsdale."
Police are still investigating both incidents at Scottsdale, but Cr Jarvis believes the spree was an isolated incident.
"It's pretty isolated in terms of bad behaviour and vandalism," he said.
Anyone with information on the vandalism is urged to contact Scottsdale police on 6352 4099.
