Auxiliary president Joan Pedley last month presented a cheque for $1000 to the sub-branch's president Peter Ashton.
The presentation was held during the club's annual lunch on Saturday, June 18.
The event was attended by 70 people, including the Women's Auxiliary state president Shirley Higgins, RSL state president Robert Dick, Royal Australian Navy Commander Stacey Porter, Western Tiers MLC Greg Hall and Meander Valley Mayor Craig Perkins.
An appreciative Mr Ashton said the money would be used to continue its support for veterans and for the upkeep of the local cenotaph.
In her third consecutive year of presenting a cheque to the Deloraine RSL sub-branch, Mrs Pedley said that the auxiliary did it because they believed it was an important part of the town's community.
"The money is raised by catering breakfast and lunch on Anzac Day, plus holding raffles," Mrs Pedley said.
"We feel the RSL sub-branch needs the money to remain viable.
"The RSL sub-branch is important for the veterans and the community as a whole, plus it serves as a link to a part of our past that should never be forgotten."
