St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band members John Ralph, Sally-Anne Richter and Geoff Watson will play in guest stints in France and Scotland over the next month.
Mr Ralph will take on a role with the Queensland Irish Pipe Band in France, playing at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient, while Ms Richter and Mr Watson will feature at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony with the Canberra-based Australian Federal Police Pipes and Drums band and the Tasmanian Police Pipe Band respectively.
Mr Ralph said the trio's hard work in Launceston had paved the way for international experience.
``I think from getting out there and having that profile and a high enough standard to be able to do that, also brought the attention of other touring bands to our band,'' he said.
``Once you get known and you go out there and do a bit of stuff, the word starts to spread.''
Ms Richter has already left for Scotland, while Mr Ralph and Mr Watson will jet off later this month.
