TIME spent watching television has paid off for Grindelwald woman Grace Koh.
The bubbly 18-year-old has landed a spot as a host on children's channel ABC 3.
``I'll be hosting and presenting, introducing different programs for the kids,'' Miss Koh said yesterday.
Filming started a month ago and her first segment was aired on Monday.
Miss Koh said the job was literally a dream come true.
``It was a secret dream of mine to have the job,'' Miss Koh said.
``I've always watched ABC 3 because I knew they occasionally showed job advertisements and one day they actually did.''
A three-minute video showcasing her talents helped land her the job.
``It was basically me showing how fun and crazy I can be,'' she said.
``From there, I got the call to do the studio auditions.''
Miss Koh is the youngest on the program, fortunately turning 18 on the application's cut-off date, and the only person raised in Tasmania.
She said experience in theatre and Launceston College productions Footloose and Hairspray held her in good stead for the role.
Study at Melbourne's Deakin University has been put on hold while Miss Koh focuses on the role.
She said she was unsure what the future held.
``I want to make people happy, I have no idea what I would do after I achieved my lifelong dream,'' she said.
